TML Web Design announces the launch of the Wilson J. Ong Studios Fine Art website
Wilson J. Ong is an accomplished painter with an extraordinary eye for color, shape, lighting, and composition. We have been developing web sites for artists for many years now and this has been truly one of our favorite projects.
Wilson was talking to an acquaintance about his website one Sunday when the friend suggested he speak with our firm about upgrading his web presence. He already had a solid presence with many works on display, but wanted to exapand his ability to provide interested parties with the ability to view his works without having to navigate back and forth, and to purchase his works online.
His friend set up a conference call and the rest, as they say, is history. You can view his site at www.wilsonong.com. You will notice that we have used our signature roll-over galleries to display his archived works, and included easy to understand navigation to every part of his site. The home page is one of our favorites. It uses roll over graphics to display different paintings when you hover over the navigation! Definitely a new concept for web designers.
This site was purposely designed to remove any clutter that would distract you from viewing and enjoying the paintings. The ubiquitous 'Add to Cart' button has been softened to blend in with the design while remaining easily identified for what it is. Back and forth navigation is also carefully thought out to provide just the right features without any of the clutter that most sites have.
All in all, this site is well worth taking a peak at. And, while you're there, why not buy one of his paintings before the one you want gets snatched up by someone else!
